The newest additions to the Webex devices portfolio have won four Red Dot awards including “best of the best” in the category for product design! This is one of the world’s top design honors, like winning an Oscar at the Academy Awards. I could not be prouder of our designers, our engineers, our up-all-nighters… our very own “crazy ones” who see the world differently and get stuff done.
These awards go way beyond coveted mantle pieces. The Red Dot recognition represents Cisco’s impeccable design capabilities interwoven with our deep heritage of engineering and innovation. We pride ourselves on crafting elegant products you didn’t know you couldn’t live without! Quality video and premium sound are table stakes for today’s collaboration tools. The Red Dot award represents the best products of the year and has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after seals of quality for good design. I don’t know a single designer who doesn’t want a Red Dot award in their portfolio! With their motto in mind, “In search of good design and innovation”, a jury of 40 international experts test, discuss and evaluate entries and finally award a Red Dot to products that exceed their expectations with the best design. While this is not the first time we have won – Red Dot has recognized our commitment to great design 23 other times! – it underscores our continued focus on evolving our designs for future needs.
In addition to the product design awards, the Red Dot jury selects the “Best of the Best”. This is the highest distinction and has been awarded to fewer than 2% of the entries. The Cisco Collaboration team is now the proud recipient of not one, but TWO “Best of the Best” awards!

The Room Panorama became our crown jewel as the next generation of immersive video conferencing. Where we previously cut the table in half in telepresence, the Room Panorama is changing the game to cut the room in half with rich cognitive capabilities and the authentic feeling of being in the same room despite being 5,000 miles apart. With the Cisco Headset 730, we set out to tame the noisy soundscape for the busy modern worker by building an advanced noise cancelling headset that looks as great as it sounds. The innovative microphone design isolates the speaker’s voice for pristine clarity on meetings and calls; and the acoustics are dynamically tuned for HD media playback.
