New features for can’t miss events

In today’s hybrid work environments, organizations require flexible, secure solutions to power their marketing, sales and event programs. Whether hosting a webinar, attending a conference, or delivering training across the globe – leaders are prioritizing attendee experiences, bridging data across touchpoints, and implementing unified event technology solutions.

Webex offers flexible webinar and event solutions for virtual, in-person, and hybrid needs. Webex Webinars and Webex Events (formerly Socio) continue to empower organizations to enrich attendee experiences with customizable, trusted technology.

In just the last 12 months, over 6 billion minutes of content have been consumed using Webex Webinars and Webex Events. And today, we are excited to share what’s coming next to Webex Webinars and Webex Events to provide everything needed for inspired events.

Producing memorable attendee experiences

New in Webex Webinars

Coming later this year, Webex Webinars will support two powerful ways to add custom branding and personalization to every webinar.

Stage Manager in Webex Webinars

First, with Stage manager in Webex Webinars, hosts can change the look and feel of their entire event in just a few clicks.

Set the tone by choosing from a library of colorful backdrops or upload images that fit the theme of the event. Add more branding with logos, plus, manage speaker name tags with custom colors and styles to make every webinar feel like a unique experience.

Webex Webinars with NDI production

Second, for more advanced video needs, Webex Webinars dedicated integration into NDI gives event production teams a new tool for professional broadcasts.

Easily share Webex video and content feeds through NDI into encoders, like OBS or Wirecast. Add music, animations and rearrange your speaker video feeds and content into any configuration. Then broadcast to custom endpoints of your choice – social media, webpages and more.

And because all these capabilities are included with Webex Webinars at no additional cost – it’s easy and cost effective to elevate your next all-hands, marketing event, or training.

Fueling integrated experiences

New in Webex Webinars

Have you been considering bringing some of the team together at the office for your next company all hands or training? With Webex Webinars and Cisco devices, that’s about to get even easier.

Early next year, webinar attendees will be able to join an event directly from their favorite devices – like the Cisco Room Bar or Cisco Desk Pro and more. With the new integration, people can get together in-person for a watch-party, or from the comfort of their homes. Now, both webinar presenters and attendees will have the flexibility to participate in more ways.

Webex Webinars with Cisco devices

New in Webex Webinars

Connecting marketing technology ecosystems is critical to delivering personalized customer journeys and supporting effective engagements. Beginning this month, Webex Webinars integrations into Oracle Eloqua will enable seamless data management for marketing and sales.

With Webex Webinars and Oracle Eloqua, marketing automation programs help marketers focus on their core lead management tasks, gain greater insights, and streamline workflows across all customer touch points. Now, marketers are able to:

  • Register users to Webex directly from Eloqua forms or landing pages
  • Sync Eloqua contacts directly with Webex Webinar attendees
  • Segment contacts based on Webex Webinar engagement data
  • Integrate existing lead scoring with Webex Webinar engagement data

See our Eloqua integration in action here.

With our Salesforce CRM and Webex Webinars integration, marketing and sales teams have a shared view of each customer activity and can seamlessly manage data between Webinars and Salesforce lead and customer objects. With this integration:

  • Quickly share lead and activity data with sales
  • Respond to leads faster, while the prospect is still active
  • Attribute revenue to specific webinar programs to show Marketing ROI

Events with global reach

New in Webex Events

Virtual events are appealing for their reach and ease of use. When paired with in-person and hybrid models, better inclusivity can be achieved for every event.

Earlier this year, Webex Events announced the addition of native real-time closed captions and translation for live-streaming video. This year we will be expanding these capabilities to include Video on Demand and Simulive (scheduled live stream of a recorded video) formats.

Now any video asset within an event – whether streamed live or pre-recorded – can include closed captioning and real-time translations in 30+ languages, available to the attendee with just a click.

Event better, real-time closed captions and translation is included with Webex Events steaming capabilities at no additional cost.

Update once, update for all

With any event, consistency and accuracy are key. With our new content widgets, planners will soon be able to take pre-built elements from their Webex Events platform and embed them directly into any event website.

Planners will be able to streamline and consolidate workflows to display the most up-to-date event information everywhere, at all times. No need to bother their IT department to correct a misspelling, add another sponsor, or update critical event details. For the attendee, they will always see the most up-to-date, accurate information across all event touchpoints.

Coming in early 2023, the Webex Events platform will soon become the single source of truth.

Give attendees a warm welcome

Our new Attendee Lobby is a warm welcome for attendees as they enter their Webex Events virtual event venue. Fully customizable at any time by the planner, they are now able to surface key event content to attendees on the front page of their event app in the form of customizable modules such as a welcome message, countdown clock, keynote speakers, platinum sponsors, and the event agenda.

Coming in early 2023, the Lobby will help attendees better orient to the virtual event space, find key event information quickly, and easily navigate to key features and content.

Measuring everything with connected data

New in Webex Events

Any event, no matter the size or complexity, must be able to show its value. With event technology like Webex Events, every click, video view, content download, and attendee connection is a data point that can be used to quantify the impact of the event, show sponsor ROI, or influence meaningful changes down the road.

As we expand these data and measurement capabilities, we will give event planners additional data points to create even more personalized experiences for their attendees and even more actionable insights.

Conditional logic within registration checkout forms will allow planners to build more customized, defined criteria into their registration experience. Conditional Logic allows for follow-up questions to be triggered within a registration form. This lets organizers and serve relevant questions to attendees based on their previous answers and gather specific information they might not otherwise have been able to.

With the ability to only show certain questions to attendees who answer questions a specific way, planners can point attendees to additional purchases, sign-ups, or registrations, gather qualitative feedback on the event, or simply capture another layer of detail on the people attending their upcoming event.

We are pleased to announce that Registration Conditional Logic will be coming to Webex Events in early 2023.

More Data, More Insights

Finally, we know that the more data the better, but we must display that data in an easily consumable manner for it to be impactful. The robust data dashboards within Webex Events currently show live stream and video analytics, attendee engagement metrics, gamification results, and sponsor insights.

We are happy to announce that beginning next month, the Onsite metrics dashboard will be added to this lineup, closing the loop on end-to-end metrics dashboards available from Webex Events.

Planners will now be able to see real-time Onsite metrics, with a detailed look into the check-in and badge printing activities at their event, including attendee check-in numbers, badge printing locations, and more.
