Certains ont red\u00e9couvert les joies du travail sans les contraintes des trajets quotidiens, tandis que d\u2019autres d\u00e9ploraient d\u2019avoir perdu les relations qui se tissent au bureau.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 pr\u00e9sent, alors que les bureaux rouvrent leurs portes dans le monde entier, nous cherchons \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer comment faire en sorte que le travail hybride soit efficace.<\/p>\n<p>Mais dans tous ces sc\u00e9narios, je pense que nous nous sommes tellement focalis\u00e9s sur les imp\u00e9ratifs \u00e0 court terme (survivre et nous adapter \u00e0 tout prix) que nous ne nous sommes pas demand\u00e9s ce que ressentent les employ\u00e9s au sujet de ces deux ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es \u00e0 travailler diff\u00e9remment. Pour utiliser une expression bien connue, nous avons laiss\u00e9 l\u2019arbre nous cacher la for\u00eat.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est pourquoi j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9ablement surprise par les r\u00e9sultats d\u2019une <a href=\"https:\/\/sloanreview.mit.edu\/sponsors-content\/the-new-world-of-work-is-transforming-the-old-social-contracts\/?utm_medium=referral&#038;utm_source=Cisco3&#038;utm_campaign=CSCiscoReport0422\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00e9tude r\u00e9cente <\/a>commandit\u00e9e par Webex by Cisco aupr\u00e8s de <a href=\"https:\/\/sloanreview.mit.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MIT Sloan Management Review<\/a> au sujet du travail hybride. Les r\u00e9sultats sont plut\u00f4t en contradiction avec les discours alarmistes et catastrophistes que nous entendons depuis deux ans.<\/p>\n<p>Au contraire, cette \u00e9tude est venue corroborer ce que nous pressentions et constations depuis deux ans, \u00e0 savoir que le travail hybride fonctionne. Et il se porte tr\u00e8s bien\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 que le travail hybride renforce la culture d\u2019entreprise. Les sentiments d\u2019inclusion et de diversit\u00e9 ont progress\u00e9. C\u2019est le leadership centr\u00e9 sur l\u2019humain qui suscite un sentiment d\u2019appartenance, pas la localisation g\u00e9ographique. Les managers peuvent r\u00e9ellement g\u00e9rer des employ\u00e9s \u00e0 distance. Et les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations ne souffrent pas du t\u00e9l\u00e9travail. Il leur permet en fait de s\u2019\u00e9panouir.<\/p>\n<h2>Un retour en arri\u00e8re et un abandon du travail hybride impensables<\/h2>\n<p>Avant 2020, le sujet de l\u2019avenir du travail occupait tous les esprits, m\u00eame s\u2019il \u00e9tait alors nomm\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0transformation num\u00e9rique\u00a0\u00bb. Nous travaillions tous sans rel\u00e2che \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper et am\u00e9liorer les technologies qui allaient transformer la collaboration mobile et \u00e0 distance en une r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Mais cette d\u00e9marche \u00e9tait per\u00e7ue comme secondaire, la priorit\u00e9 \u00e9tant alors donn\u00e9e \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019espaces de travail toujours plus originaux, avec des artifices imagin\u00e9s pour inciter les employ\u00e9s \u00e0 rester le plus longtemps possible au bureau.<\/p>\n<p>La pand\u00e9mie a tout chang\u00e9 et, comme l\u2019a \u00e9crit Jeetu Patel, EVP et directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral des activit\u00e9s S\u00e9curit\u00e9 et Collaboration de Cisco, dans <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.cisco.com\/c\/r\/newsroom\/en\/us\/a\/y2022\/m03\/no-turning-back-from-the-hybrid-work-future.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">son analyse<\/a> de cette \u00e9tude, \u00ab\u00a0il est impensable de revenir en arri\u00e8re et de se d\u00e9tourner d\u2019un avenir sous le signe du travail hybride\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Le fait qu\u2019un si grand nombre de participants \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude aient confirm\u00e9 que le travail hybride am\u00e9liorait la culture d\u2019entreprise est tr\u00e8s parlant. Les inqui\u00e9tudes concernant le risque de voir voler en \u00e9clat les liens de solidarit\u00e9 que la pr\u00e9sence de tous les employ\u00e9s au bureau g\u00e9n\u00e9rait semble s\u2019\u00eatre dissip\u00e9es. Nous constatons que les collaborateurs peuvent rester en contact sans devoir se trouver au m\u00eame endroit. Et la dispersion g\u00e9ographique des \u00e9quipes pourrait en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e9liminer certains des obstacles qui nuisent au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une culture inclusive.<\/p>\n<p>Comme le veut l\u2019expression, l\u2019arbre cache parfois la for\u00eat. Maintenant que tout le monde se trouve en dehors de la for\u00eat, chacun a une vision plus claire de la mani\u00e8re de rendre les relations au travail plus efficaces. Les employ\u00e9s comme les managers s\u2019appuient sur cette nouvelle perspective pour s\u2019adapter \u00e0 des besoins changeants et envisager de nouveaux comportements.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame temps, et pour am\u00e9liorer encore les choses, l\u2019\u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 que \u00ab\u00a0le leadership, et non la localisation g\u00e9ographique, favorise l\u2019\u00e9change de feedback et le sentiment d\u2019appartenance\u00a0\u00bb. Le t\u00e9l\u00e9travail a donn\u00e9 aux dirigeants et aux cadres sup\u00e9rieurs une immense opportunit\u00e9 de d\u00e9velopper des niveaux in\u00e9dits d\u2019empathie et d\u2019interagir avec les employ\u00e9s. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une merveilleuse d\u00e9couverte qui contredit la perception erron\u00e9e selon laquelle un leadership efficace repose exclusivement sur la pr\u00e9sence physique.<\/p>\n<p>Une autre conclusion de cette \u00e9tude qui me ravit est que 67\u00a0% des personnes interrog\u00e9es pensent que les dirigeants de leur entreprise estiment que les personnes qui travaillent de chez elles sont efficaces et respectent les d\u00e9lais. Je suis enchant\u00e9e par ce constat. En tant que dirigeante, je me suis toujours attach\u00e9e \u00e0 mesurer le succ\u00e8s en fonction des r\u00e9sultats, plut\u00f4t que du temps pass\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler. Cette enqu\u00eate a confirm\u00e9 ce que je savais\u00a0: les employ\u00e9s tiennent \u00e0 faire du bon travail, ils en retirent de la fiert\u00e9 et cherchent \u00e0 \u00e9tendre leurs comp\u00e9tences d\u00e8s qu\u2019ils le peuvent.<\/p>\n<h2>La grande r\u00e9v\u00e9lation<\/h2>\n<p>La Grande D\u00e9mission (Great Resignation) a fait couler beaucoup d\u2019encre, lorsque les employ\u00e9s quittaient leur emploi en grand nombre dans l\u2019espoir de trouver mieux. Tout le monde parle \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent de la Grande Ren\u00e9gociation\u00a0: les employ\u00e9s cherchent maintenant \u00e0 ren\u00e9gocier leurs conditions de travail, en particulier o\u00f9, quand et comment ils travaillent.<\/p>\n<p>Mais cette \u00e9tude montre que nous nous trouvons peut-\u00eatre actuellement dans un contexte plus propice \u00e0 l\u2019optimisme, que j\u2019appellerais \u00ab\u00a0la grande r\u00e9v\u00e9lation\u00a0\u00bb, qui voit les managers, les employ\u00e9s et les dirigeants s\u2019attacher \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des relations de travail plus fructueuses et plus saines.<\/p>\n<p>Les leaders et les organisations clairvoyants consid\u00e9reront que le nouveau contrat social en mati\u00e8re de travail constitue une opportunit\u00e9. Et ils mettront \u00e0 profit tous les avantages qu\u2019offre le travail hybride, y compris en favorisant des technologies plus performantes, en red\u00e9finissant ce qu\u2019est la nouvelle
