Webex wins award from UC Today for Best Collaboration Platform

I am thrilled to share that once again Webex by Cisco has been selected as UC Today Best Collaboration Platform award winner and our very own Javed Khan, was recognized as the Collaboration Leader of the Year.

UC Today is a renowned leading authority on communication and collaboration technology. The panel of judges includes some of the most reputable analysts in our industry including Zeus Kerravala, ZK Research, Blair Pleasant, Commfusion, Kevin Kieller, enableUC, Melissa Swartz, Swartz Consulting, Jon Arnold, J. Webex Suite powers hybrid work

To enable the hybrid work framework, Webex by Cisco released the Webex Suite. This comprehensive offering brings together all your communication and collaboration needs. It’s so much more than just online meetings. Webex Suite combines meetings, calling, messaging, events, polling and Q&A, all alongside the market-leading AI-based Webex Assistant, as a single cloud-based solution designed to meet the needs of hybrid work.

Our customers are also leveraging a powerful new set of integrated capabilities such as whiteboarding, gesture recognition, noise removal, closed captioning, Webex Assistant  for real-time transcription, automatic capture of action items, and much more.

Background noise removal

In 2020 companies everywhere had to pivot to remote working and that meant blending the home and work environments. It became apparent that the household buzz from children, pets, and the occasional Amazon delivery, were major distractors during meetings and collaborative working sessions.

In September of 2020 we acquired BabbleLabs, and quickly integrated the advanced, AI based background noise removal and speech enhancement technology into the Webex suite of applications and devices. With that technology we are seeing 1B minutes a week of disruptive noise removed from meetings.

Fostering an inclusive collaborative experience

Language should never be a barrier for collaboration. Webex provides near real-time translations of meeting transcriptions, into more than 100 languages. We also believe regardless of hearing impairment; everyone should have the same experience. Transcriptions enable attendees with hearing disabilities to easily understand speakers.

The combination of these and other innovations result in a Webex collaboration experience with crystal clear audio, more inclusive engagement, transparent interaction, and greater understanding.

The Webex Suite dramatically improves the user experience and the experience of IT.  It builds upon a world-class cloud calling, meetings, and messaging base of 100’s of millions of users a month, to now add comprehensive end-to-end event management of any size, including webinar mode to accommodate 10,000 attendees, and for even larger audiences webcast mode allows for up to 100,000 attendees. And with our recently acquisition of Socio Labs, it also provides event organizers with all they need to deliver engaging and inclusive event experiences end-to-end, from registration and ticketing straight through to post-event follow up.

We also acquired Slido and fully integrated this best-in-class audience interaction platform into the new Webex Suite, so users have access to engaging features like polling, quizzes, word-clouds, and real-time Q&A, without having to purchase a separate tool.
