Marketers are looking for ways to stand out in the crowd and many are using online content to reach their customers with the right message in real time. In fact, the Content Marketing Institute found that 76% of B2B marketers plan to produce more content this year than the year prior.
One drawback to this big content push? Content fatigue.
It may sound like a consequence of staying up late to cram for final exams, but content fatigue is very real for audiences overwhelmed by infographics, white papers, “listicals” and a barrage of social media posts. So while all of the information marketers are sharing is probably appealing to potential customers, there is a critical balance when determining how and when to release it to keep your audience engaged.
