Once an exclusive, invite-only event, this year for the first time, Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Pre-Party was opened to thousands of supporters around the world.
It was thrilling to witness firsthand how the partnership between Elton John’s foundation and Webex allowed for greater inclusivity for people who normally never would have been able participate in such a private event. A big thanks to our Engineering team whose hard work made it possible for the event to be hosted on our Webex platform. You make me so proud!
Those who attended this one-of-a-kind event were entertained by several celebrities including Elton John performing at the piano. What a treat! Elton also shared progress on his non-profits efforts to end the AIDS epidemic. I’m pleased to share the event raised $3 million dollars for the cause!
Events like this truly showcase how partnerships with Webex can help businesses scale their operations, break down barriers, and create more inclusive experiences.
As we look ahead, the future will increasingly be about hybrid offerings that provide people with a greater sense of togetherness and inclusivity. And that’s where Webex will be the pioneer in providing these new, more meaningful experiences.
