Webex Calling with FedRAMP authorization is available for government collaboration

Webex Calling in the Webex for Government platform is now generally available for government agencies and federal contractors. Orders have already been fulfilled with two large federal agencies and one state government agency already taking advantage of the latest technological features in Webex Calling.

Webex for Government has now expanded to include the modern and intelligent calling features and functionality of Webex Calling. Webex for Government, the FedRAMP Moderate authorized version of Webex, enables end-user experiences for calling, messaging, and meetings. Combined and integrated with an unmatched set of intelligent audio and video devices, Webex delivers the functionality, quality, control, and security that enterprises and governments expect and demand. Supporting on-premises, cloud, or mixed-mode deployments keeps government agencies and their contractors and suppliers connected and productive from anywhere.

Webex Calling is an advanced cloud-based service with an enterprise-grade business phone system, extensive security, and a single pane of glass management and analytics. Webex Calling is part of the Webex Suite and now Webex for Government bringing the two platforms closer to parity. It delivers:

  • Complete enterprise-grade feature set
  • Proven 99.99% availability
  • Survivability options in future releases will deliver calling feature redundancy during network outages
  • FedRAMP moderate authorized cloud calling solution
  • Built-in media optimization reduces bandwidth usage and latency
  • Legendary end-to-end Cisco security protection of existing investments including devices, through the Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan

Webex Calling is available through FedRAMP Moderate compliant data centers located in the United States. The initial release of Webex Calling has only Local Gateway options for PSTN connectivity. Future options will be announced as they become available. This enables customers to deploy PSTN connectivity that delivers the features, pricing, service levels, and coverage that best fits their needs.

Adding modern calling features strengthens our U.S. Trusted Cloud tier in the Ladder of Excellence, the Webex strategy to provide global protection and security to customers. Building up the Ladder of Excellence achieves the best-fit collaboration services that help our customers realize the outcomes they want for data locality and sovereignty. Incorporating Webex Calling into Webex for Government is another proof point in demonstrating our resolve to provide the solutions our customers require.

With Webex for Government, you can have confidence in secure and reliable collaboration. Extensive, modern features increase the productivity and inclusion of your workforce no matter where they are located.
