Webex By Cisco People Focus For Better Culture At A Company

In today’s hybrid working environment, remote work is necessary for many organizations. As a result, video conferencing platforms have become an integral part of modern workplace communication. Among the many options available, Webex remains a reliable choice. However, the quality of the meeting experience at home or in the office highly depends on the hardware device used in addition to the meeting platform.

Reduce meeting fatigue with industry-leading audio and video quality

When you run your Webex Meetings on Cisco devices, you will get industry-leading audiovisual quality that reduces meeting fatigue and enables more productive meetings. Powering this high-quality experience is the RoomOS platform running on our Cisco Room and Desk series devices leveraging the advanced camera, speaker, and microphone systems designed and tuned by world-class audio/video engineers. And of course, the Webex cloud platform built for high-quality secure media and resilience.

Recently, we also allowed customers to use higher bandwidth for their room devices to improve the overall video quality in multiple scenarios (dual screen, content, people focus, and network issues) by utilizing the power of next-generation processors on our devices. We will keep pushing the boundaries with the Cisco device’s audio, video, and content quality in Webex meetings. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!

Simple and easy to start a new meeting from your Cisco device

How many times have you been in the office and wanted to start a quick meeting with your colleagues? We now allow you to do this directly from the Cisco device, tap the Webex icon and click “Start a new meeting”. You can easily share the meeting information with your colleagues by scanning a QR code without pulling out your laptop. This feature is available by default with your device registration to Webex Control Hub (No Webex host license required).

Stay connected with real-time chat notifications

Chances are big that you have been in a Webex meeting on a device and gotten a message from someone that you missed, “Need to drop early for the next meeting!”, “My audio is choppy, let me rejoin”. We are making it easier for you to keep up with the in-meeting chat – you will now see chat notifications on Cisco devices so you can stay connected to the conversation.

You can choose if you want to respond from the Webex app right then or follow up later after the meeting. We will continue to invest in bringing the messaging workload to our devices, so you have the context required to be productive.

Join Webex Webinars as an attendee from your Cisco device

With the shift to hybrid work, it has become increasingly important for leaders to keep global teams in sync with the business and for companies to connect with their customers efficiently. Webex webinars allow your company to host large-scale virtual events, with industry-leading features such as real-time translation to over 100 languages and support for over 100,000 participants. You have been able to join these events as a panelist from Cisco desk and room devices and present with high-quality audio and video. However, coming soon, you can join these webinars as an attendee directly from your Cisco device. Increasingly we are hearing employees go into work to join these virtual events as a team. You can seamlessly leverage your Cisco devices investment to join these events directly from the device.

The combination of Cisco devices and the Webex platform creates a seamless and high-quality meeting experience that helps hybrid teams communicate and collaborate effectively. With industry-leading audio and video quality and the Webex cloud built for high-quality secure media, the Webex meeting experience on Cisco devices is unparalleled. Additionally, new features such as the ability to start Webex meetings directly from the device, join Webex webinars, and keep up with in-meeting chatter through chat notifications make the experience even more productive and seamless. As hybrid work continues to be the norm, the Webex and Cisco device combination remains a reliable choice for organizations to stay connected and productive.
