RoomOS 11 updates for May and June include new ways to wirelessly share into a device, new ways of providing translation services, and a way to test your microphone! Let’s get started!

Simultaneous interpretation with RoomOS 11

Last year, we released Simultaneous interpretation in Webex Meetings. Automated language translation may work for most use cases, but in some high stakes’ meetings – such as a diplomatic summit, legal proceedings or academic seminars– live interpreters might also be required to capture the subtle nuances inherent in every language. Simultaneous interpretation allows for live translations of meetings, and this feature is now available for Webex devices running on RoomOS 11! Learn more by visiting the help article. Test your microphone

Ever wondered what you sound like to others in meetings? Well, now you can find out. We are making it available for the Webex Desk and Board series to Test your microphone directly on your device to check if it is working and properly configured. Test your microphone before starting a meeting to check if further configurations are needed, like noise removal or voice optimization. You have the option to record yourself and play the recording, or enable continuous testing. This is also a chance to experience for yourself what big of a difference our noise removal technology actually makes! If you want to learn more about this, you can visit the help article. Wireless sharing with Miracast

We are dedicated to developing easy and intuitive ways for anyone to wirelessly share their content into a Webex device. Earlier this year we announced Apple AirPlay on devices, and we are super excited to tell you that you can now wirelessly share using Miracast. This solution is available right now, and enabling Miracast allows meeting participants to share content wirelessly from their laptop to a Webex Board or Room Series device, without the need for a client. Click here for information on how to configure Miracast, and here if you need help to start wirelessly sharing. That’s it for this time around – have a lovely summer and we will be back with new updates in a hot minute.
