Webex Go reimagined – more choice, flexibility, and coverage; zero cost

First unveiled at WebexOne 2021, Webex Go is an innovative mobility solution that delivers a seamless, secure, compliant, and private calling experience for the modern workforce. Last week at WebexOne 2024, we introduced new innovations that make Webex Go easier to deploy, more flexible, and more cost-effective for enterprises. The result? A game-changing mobile solution that empowers organizations to support workers of all types with flexible deployment and connectivity options.

Mobile calling for any workstyle

Webex Go redefines mobile calling by offering flexible deployment options that fit any workstyle. It can be set up on either the primary or secondary line on most unlocked, eSIM-compatible devices, making it a versatile solution for today’s hybrid workforce. For corporate-issued devices, deploying Webex Go on the primary line is ideal, especially for executives or employees that handle sensitive business data. Meanwhile, for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) models, employees can install Webex Go as a second line, allowing them to maintain privacy while staying connected professionally.

Regardless of how it’s deployed, Webex Go maintains a single identity across the Webex ecosystem, managed centrally from Webex Control Hub. This unified approach not only simplifies management for IT but also delivers a consistent communication experience for users.

Webex Go is now included with Webex Calling

Mobile calling isn’t just an option—it’s a necessity. That’s why we’re making Webex Go available at no additional cost with the Webex Calling Professional License. Previously, enabling Webex Go required separate SKUs, but that’s now history – just purchase the Webex Calling Professional License, select a calling plan from a Webex Go provider, and you’re ready to go! This crucial update makes it simpler for customers to integrate Webex Go into their communication strategy, delivering secure, compliant, and private mobile calls with ease. General availability is expected for late 2024 to early 2025.

New, flexible connectivity options

We’re making it easier than ever for enterprise to deploy Webex Go by expanding connectivity options to a new selection of Certified Mobile Calling Providers, including AudioCodes, CallTower, PureIP, NTT, Nuwave, and Tata Communications. These providers have undergone rigorous testing to ensure reliable and high-quality enterprise mobile calling services. Services from Certified Mobile Calling Providers will roll out in late 2024 and into 2025, and complement our existing Mobile Operator partner AT&T Business.

With this broad, global lineup of Webex Go providers, we’re offering our customers more choice and flexibility than ever. Now, customers can tailor their Webex Go experience by choosing from one or several Webex Go providers, even mixing and matching services to find the perfect fit. Whether it’s pricing, features, or geographic coverage, customers can select mobile voice and data plans that best meet their unique needs.

Reaching New Territories: Expanded Geographic Availability

We’re expanding the reach of Webex Go as well. Currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, and France, we’re set to extend coverage to additional markets across Europe and the Americas. Certified Mobile Calling Providers will soon enable Webex Go in new countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Poland, Spain, and Sweden in the coming year. Each Webex Go provider offers unique geographic coverage and roaming capabilities, allowing customers to choose the best fit for their needs.

Simplified Provisioning

Provisioning Webex Go is now more intuitive than ever. The process aligns with the familiar Add Mobile Number flow in Webex Control Hub, streamlining administration and enabling quick deployment. Here’s how it works:

  1. Purchase the Webex Calling Professional License
  2. Subscribe to a Webex Go mobile plan from our Webex Go Mobile Operator or Certified Mobile Calling Provider partners
  3. Add Webex Go numbers to your Webex organization using the familiar Add Mobile Number flow
  4. Assign Webex Go numbers to users within Webex Calling
  5. Activate Webex Go on user devices via eSIM

Webex Go is fully provisioned in the Webex Control Hub, allowing admins to easily manage mobile numbers and assign them to users, ensuring a smooth setup for every team member.

What’s Next for Webex Go?

With these latest enhancements, Webex Go is now even more accessible and adaptable, providing a seamless mobile calling experience that meets the demands of a diverse and mobile workforce. And this is just the beginning—stay tuned for more innovations that will further elevate your communication experience.
