Webex Rewind Spring 2024: Even more value from the Webex Suite and new AI-powered workspace experiences.

Welcome to the spring edition of Webex Rewind. We’re catching you up on all the great new features you can start using in Webex right away, including Vidcast inside Webex, message scheduling, integration Apps on the sidebar, and more. We also introduced new partner integrations for Ford’s Lincoln Digital Experience and the Apple Vision Pro, both available now.

Our Cisco Collaboration devices continue to lead the industry with the new Board Pro G2 and Desk Phone Series 9800, plus the general availability of cross-view, our AI-powered multi-camera solution that gives everyone in the room the best view. Last but certainly not least, Webex Customer Experience Essentials is a game-changer for sales and support teams looking to streamline their call queues and uplevel their supervisor capabilities right within the Webex App.

Video messaging inside Webex with Vidcast

Webex Suite offers incredible value, including access to Vidcast, Webex’s video messaging tool. Vidcast is now embedded directly in the Webex app, allowing you to easily share an idea or do a quick screencast for your team members to view at their convenience. Plus, with AI-powered chapters and highlights, Vidcast enables users to create and share, high-quality videos, in an instant.

Schedule a Message

Want to make sure your message is read, and avoid bothering people outside of office hours? With our new message scheduling, you can plan and organize your message to go out at a desired time.

Customer Experience Essentials

With Customer Experience Essentials—now generally available—customer-facing teams of any size can take advantage of powerful agent, supervisor tools and analytics from within the familiar Webex app. Plus, Webex has recently launched HD Voice for External Callers, using our industry-leading background noise removal to remove sound from both sides of the phone call. We’ve also added the capability to choose your Caller ID, which is helpful for call queue agents placing outbound calls. All of this adds up to an incredible experience for both customers and customer-facing teams using the Webex Suite.

App Hub in the Webex App

Webex integrates with hundreds of industry-leading apps and tools so you can get more done. We’ve made it easier to find and use integrations, by enabling App Hub to open directly in the Webex App. Webex users can now:

  • Discover and explore apps and bots available inside their organization and publicly
  • Search for apps and bots using categories or simply use the app name
  • Try an app allowed by the organization’s administrator.

Webex for Apple Vision Pro

We are elevating the collaboration experience with the introduction of revolutionary spatial computing collaboration on Apple Vision Pro, which seamlessly blends digital content with the physical world. The new Webex app, exclusively designed for Apple Vision Pro, is now available on the App Store for visionOS.

Webex for Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience

With the Webex integration on select Ford and Lincoln vehicles, users get an immersive Webex experience without needing a smartphone or mobile device. Users can join directly from the in-car touchscreen display, with the benefit of Webex’s AI background noise removal feature.

New Device: Cisco Board Pro G2

The new generation of the Board Pro is packed with new dual cameras, AI virtual lens, and upgraded performance—in an easily deployable solution supporting Cisco Rooms and certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms. With this all-in-one collaboration device, participants can easily see the presenter and the audience, collaborate with touch-screen display, and use AI-powered features like framing, people focus, and meeting zones.

New Device: Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Series

More than a desk phone, our newly available models 9841 and 9851 offer great audio, secure login with hot desking, one button to join a meeting, and a built-in action button.

New Distance Zero features: Cross-View

Cross-view is an AI-driven feature that brings a cinematic view to your meetings using multiple cameras and microphones. By analyzing room activity, recognizing speakers, and tracking where people are facing, the system automatically picks the best camera angle to get the best view.

Pin Participant to Screen

In large meetings, the most important participants for you might not be visible in the video layout. With this feature, meeting participants can customize their view to have their most important coworkers in view.

Third-party peripherals in Control Hub

Cisco integrates room peripherals monitoring into Control Hub, unlocking new levels of device insights and providing an all-new way to visualize and monitor your workspaces.

Cisco Devices with Microsoft Team Rooms Adoption Guide

For customers deploying our Cisco Devices with Microsoft Team Rooms we’ve created a comprehensive Adoption Guidebook to support you through the planning and preparation stages of device adoption. Utilizing this guide and the curated resources it provides will ensure you unlock the full capabilities of the Cisco Device in combination with Microsoft Teams Rooms. The Guidebook includes resources on how to design & plan your workspaces and how to best configure your devices to deliver the best possible user experience and enable the full set of capabilities.
