What’s new in Webex for Government: October 2021

Webex for Government is continuously improving. This month new features are added to make your events and meetings more exciting and secure. Events can have up to five thousand attendees and be streamed to Vbrick. Meetings can also be streamed to Vbrick and are more secure with end-to-end encryption.

Webex for Government Events

A new event experience with cutting edge meeting technology, Webex for Government Events can scale to 5,000 attendees with high frame video and audio. Based on your needs, you can increase the number of event participants to 5,000, the number of telephone dial-in participants to 3,000 and the number of panelists to 500. Hosts and cohosts can manage attendee layouts, allow presenters, and provide content as needed

Stream Your Cisco Webex Meetings or Events to Vbrick

Vbrick enables organizations to leverage the power of video to engage audiences with live video, to empower with on-demand video and to transform video content management and distribution business processes and capabilities.

With Webex for Government you can now stream your meetings and events to the Vbrick system. As a host, you can select the option to stream the contents of your meetings or events to Vbrick. All streams include the audio, video, and content that is shared while the meeting or event is active. When you stream a meeting or event to Vbrick, you continue to have full functionality of your Webex meeting or event. You can start or stop your stream at any time.

End-to-end encryption for meetings

Webex for Government now has the capability to encode and decode video and audio meetings between every attendee greatly improving the security of your communications. This functionality adds to the previously announced end-to-end security for messaging and file sharing. The new feature provides encryption for all meeting content based on the host generated encryption keys. These keys are used to encrypt communications and verify all attendees in a standardized format. This encryption provides protection from attacks and intruders on mobile, computer and Webex devices.

Manage your content with Google

Now you can store and manage all of your Webex meeting recordings, messages and files to Google enterprise content management (ECM).

Trust Webex for Government

Webex for Government provides the strongest security while maintaining and improving workers efficiency. The Webex platform is always updated with new capabilities to enhance your secure environment while providing features that make work more productive.
