Attain mobile-first hybrid collaboration with Webex Meetings

We are all embracing hybrid work more these days. For instance, I work from home, commute to work and back, or take meetings from the school parking lot when picking up the kids. This is why now our mobile devices have become such a critical part of our collaboration efforts. Webex has continued to be an innovation leader by delivering industry-first mobile experiences for our customers—making it seamless to collaborate from your mobile phones, tablets, or iPads.

Multitask with iPad, iPhone, and Android devices

Webex is the only collaboration platform in the industry that empowers you to multitask using Picture in Picture (PiP) mode on your iPad. Webex transforms your iPad into a standalone workstation. On your Mac or PC, you can now take notes, check emails, or look at the documents while continuing your video and audio collaboration with meeting participants. While in a meeting, if you want to quickly check your calendar and schedule a meeting on your iPhone or Android phone, you can use the PiP mode supported by Webex meetings.

Multitasking using PiP mode is available on Webex Meetings on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. See more use cases in this At-a-Glance

Seamlessly transition meetings from home computer to mobile

While working at home, we have all been in situations where someone knocks at the door, or you must leave for the office soon and the meeting is still ongoing. Now with our move meeting to mobile feature, you don’t have to worry about it. No need to tell your colleagues that you will join back in a minute or join from two devices. Now you can simply click on the more menu on your PC or Mac, select “Move Meeting to Mobile” option, and it will generate a QR code. Then you scan the QR code with your mobile camera, and your meeting seamlessly moves from your computer to your phone—without any disruption.

Move meeting to mobile feature is available on Webex Meetings today.

Safely join your meetings in audio-only mode from your Apple CarPlay-enabled vehicle

As some of us go back to the office a few days per week, we will occasionally have to join meetings during our commute. Webex Meetings is the only collaboration platform that supports the new Apple CarPlay communication app framework. This industry-first collaboration experience delivered by Webex Meetings helps tens of millions of Apple CarPlay-enabled vehicles users.

We designed our Webex Meetings CarPlay experience with our safety-first principle. It is an audio-only hands-free meeting experience; it’s like talking on the phone. Users can view the list of their upcoming meetings and join their meeting on tap with mute, unmute, and end meeting options.

This is available today on Webex Meetings for iPhone.

Optimize my voice during mobile meetings

Now get ready for this because I have saved the best for last. No other capability wows me more than “optimize for my voice” and “background noise removal” for my Apple and Android mobile devices. As people work remotely from their home office, their backyard, or a beautiful beach, this technological innovation comes in handy the most! Meeting participants do not and cannot hear my kids shouting and playing or the neighbor’s lawnmower.

The optimize for my voice capability virtually eliminates all noise captured by your microphone, including speech occurring in the background. Users can choose this option in the audio settings under Webex Smart Audio. This is available for Webex Meetings on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

With our mobile-first strategy, Webex continues to lead with mobile and hybrid work innovation and to deliver industry-first experiences that empower our customers and users to do their best work whenever, wherever, and on whatever device they choose!

Also, WebexOne 2022 is just around the corner. We’re dedicating an entire day to our customer experience solutions, including our cloud contact center and cloud communications platform. Mark your calendars and plan to join us virtually in October for an event you won’t want to miss.

We invite you to learn more by visiting Webex Meetings.
