Webex Partners embraced an inclusive future at Cisco Live Melbourne – the first in-person Cisco Live Melbourne event in 3 years.Cisco Partners

If anyone’s been “all in” during these past few years, it’s been our Cisco partners who’ve been hard at work keeping apps running, connections secure, and companies adapting and growing. That spirit of teamwork and inclusiveness took center stage in Melbourne recently, where Cisco partners and customers celebrated their first in-person Cisco Live event in the Asia Pacific Japan region in three years.

For many of our partners and customers it is was a relief to leave the challenges of the pandemic behind. “The last years haven’t been easy,” Dave West, Cisco’s President, Asia Pacific, Japan & Greater China, told the gathering. But the disruptions also offered tremendous opportunities, he added, accelerating innovative solutions for hybrid work, connectivity, and security. “We are committed to leaving the world a better place and powering an inclusive future for all.”

Leaders at the event were excited about Cisco’s latest products and solutions, such as Webex’s expanded abilities to build a “bridge to what’s possible” by giving access to new capabilities and opportunities. Jeetu Patel, Cisco’s EVP & GM, Security and Collaboration, drove home that point, stressing that hybrid work is here to stay with reimagined new workspaces, flexible workstyles, and better security and manageability.

All of these features combine to create improved customer and employee experiences, said Javed Khan, Cisco’s SVP/GM, Collaboration. “Customers expect more. They expect you to know them and to be proactive.” Hybrid work is inherently more complex, Jeetu said, which is why efforts to simplify and unify distributed environments with solutions like Webex Control Hub are key. “Webex is perfect for hybrid,” he said.

Inside the Hybrid Work Booth Cisco Live

On the show floor and in the demo booths at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Cisco partners were “All In” when it comes to taking inclusivity, sustainability and hybrid work to the next level. They highlighted the power of Webex to drive equal experiences for everyone regardless of geography, language, or communication style.

Partners showcased at the booth were also focused on sustainability and how it enables a better hybrid experience. “I think it’s great that Cisco is committed to achieving net zero emission by 2040,” said Michael Isatchenko, Technical Solutions Specialist at Cisco in Melbourne. “All the partners that Webex showcased had both these important themes as part of their proposition i.e. hybrid work and sustainability and this was top of mind with customers who came to the booth.”

As customers browsed the show floor, event-goers were treated to a wide selection of valuable Webex and partner applications, including Slido for live polling and Q&A, PeakAmplify for real-time wallboards and analytics, Miro for visual brainstorming during meetings, Lucid for collaborative virtual whiteboarding, Morgen for streamlined time management, meeting co-pilot Tactiq to transcribe and preserve conversations, timeghost for time tracking, and mmhmm for video meeting engagement.

Our newest partner addition to the Webex App Hub showcased at Cisco Live was timeghost. Taming complexity is extremely important as part of hybrid work, and timeghost delivers on this need making it easy and simple to remember all your Microsoft 365 activities in its feed, such as all the work hours you didn’t track, so you can effectively enhance your workflows.

Find these integrations and many more at the Webex App Hub or build your own integration with our wide offering of SDKs and APIs. For more information on Cisco Live Melbourne, click here.
