Intrado Emergency Routing Service for Webex Calling Is Now Available

Emergency calling is mission-critical for every enterprise calling environment. To help organizations strengthen E911 compliance and emergency response readiness as they modernize calling in the cloud, we’re excited to announce that Intrado Emergency Routing Service (ERS) for Webex Calling Multi-Tenant is now generally available. This integration brings Intrado’s emergency communications expertise to Webex Calling, helping enterprises support accurate routing, dispatchable location delivery, and emergency response workflows across today’s distributed workforce.

The E911 Challenge in Modern Enterprise Calling

Today’s employees work across offices, branch locations, remote environments, and hybrid workspaces, making emergency calling harder to manage. IT and safety teams need to ensure every 9-1-1 call reaches the right public safety answering point, includes accurate dispatchable location information, and triggers the right internal response, regardless of where the employee is working.

As organizations modernize calling in the cloud, they cannot rely on manual processes, disconnected tools, or operational workarounds to support emergency response. They need a scalable way to manage emergency call routing, location delivery, and safety team notification across a distributed workforce.

E911 Compliance Backed by Intrado Emergency Communications Expertise

Intrado Emergency Routing Service (ERS) integrates directly with Webex Calling Multi-Tenant to automate emergency call handoff and dynamic location delivery, without manual intervention or operational workarounds. Available through Cisco SolutionsPlus, the integration is designed for straightforward deployment with clear service management between Cisco and Intrado.

Intrado brings 45 years of emergency communications experience and direct connectivity to more than 6,000 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) across the United States. With 9 out of 10 U.S. emergency calls routing through Intrado’s network, enterprises gain a trusted foundation for E911 routing, location validation, and emergency call delivery.

Intrado ERS helps Webex Calling customers support Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM’s Act across multi-site, hybrid, and remote work environments by routing 9-1-1 calls to the correct PSAP and delivering dispatchable location information to first responders. It can also send crisis email alerts to designated teams and bridge internal security personnel into emergency calls through one-way monitoring or two-way communication, helping on-site teams prepare before first responders arrive.

Because location validation, routing, and PSAP delivery run through Intrado’s own infrastructure, with no third parties in the chain, customers have one team to call if an issue occurs. For added resiliency, Intrado’s U.S.-based Emergency Call Relay Center, staffed by APCO-certified personnel, can support calls that cannot reach a PSAP directly while keeping emergency call data within U.S. jurisdiction.

Bridge On-Premises E911 to Cloud Calling

Many enterprises already rely on Intrado to support emergency calling across on-premises Cisco UCM environments. As organizations modernize with Webex Calling, Intrado provides a consistent E911 provider across both on-premises and cloud calling deployments, helping reduce complexity during migration.

This continuity is essential. Emergency calling is not a workflow organizations can afford to rebuild from scratch every time they move users, sites, or regions to a new calling platform. With Intrado ERS for Webex Calling, enterprises can maintain a familiar E911 foundation while extending emergency routing, location management, and crisis notification capabilities into the cloud. This helps IT and safety teams simplify migration planning, preserve operational consistency, and reduce the risk of gaps between on-premises and cloud calling environments, while continuing to support accurate PSAP routing, dispatchable location delivery, and internal emergency response workflows across locations, users, and work models.

Modernize E911 for Cloud Calling Today

Intrado ERS for Webex Calling Multi-Tenant is now available through the Cisco SolutionsPlus Program, giving Webex Calling customers a trusted way to support E911 compliance, emergency response readiness, and employee safety as they modernize calling in the cloud.

Whether you are planning a cloud calling migration, expanding Webex Calling across more locations, or looking to strengthen emergency response workflows for a distributed workforce, Intrado ERS can help provide accurate routing, dispatchable location delivery, and internal crisis notification at scale.
