We are excited to announce that in September we are expanding our global cloud calling capabilities and introducing new innovations to power hybrid work. But that’s not all we have for this month, the Webex Suite now offers even more value with lower pricing and expanded options.
Read below for additional capabilities that are part of this month’s release.
CONTROL HUB, SECURITY AND EDGE SERVICES
Immersive Share now in Webex App
Choose how video and content are shared and viewed by your audience with Immersive Share in the Webex Meetings desktop and mobile and with Webex Events. Simply select “Show me in front of shared content” checkbox in your Share Content pop-up screen to turn this feature on to easily resize and position your video.
Webex Speech Intelligence – Optimize My Voice
When you select “Optimize for My Voice” in your meeting, only voices closest to the microphone are captured and all background speech is removed so everyone can focus on the conversation.
Cisco calling plans now available in the UK
Cisco Calling Plans are now available to UK business customers, in addition to US and Canada. This gives you flexibility to purchase directly from Cisco or from Cisco-certified PSTN providers that cover 65 countries.
Integrated Cloud PSTN
Streamline the number provisioning process directly in Control Hub with Integrated Cloud Connected PSTN through our inaugural partner Intellepeer.
Group Voicemail
Now you can have one single voicemail and fax inbox that can be shared with multiple people. The voicemail group can be utilized for several applications such as call queue or hunt group overflow, an option on the auto attendant, or even as an inbox for contractors.
Slido integration in Webex Events
The integration of Slido in the New Webex Events is live! With this integration, you can deliver fun and interactive webinars with polls and Q&A for up to 5,000 attendees! Learn more about Slido here.
Real-time translations now available in Webex Devices
With real-time translation, users leveraging devices with RoomOS, will get a live translation of what’s being said in the meeting. Users can easily choose to translate from English to 27 languages via the Webex Assistant with more planned in future releases.
Gesture recognition supported in Webex DeskPro
Your Webex Desk Pro now supports gesture recognition which includes reactions thumbs up, thumbs down in addition to existing hand raise capabilities.
Webex for government is designed for public organizations around the globe to securely stay connected through calling, meetings, and messaging—whether in the office, working remotely, or on the go. In September we are expanding our collaboration capabilities to support government workers and their partners.
Webex Expert on Demand
Webex Expert on Demand is now available for Webex for Government with the integration with Realware, which supports hands free collaboration so field workers can safely collaborate with subject matter experts. Integrated communications allow visual, audio and collaboration at remote sites including calling, meeting, messaging and annotation in real-time.
Branded registration page and simplified scheduling
Hosting engaging events is a great way to showcase your brand and products to customers and prospects. Marketers can now easily tailor webinar and webcast registration pages to showcase your brand with options for themes, adding custom logos or background images, and creating speaker profiles.
Zendesk and Jira integrations for better incident management
You can now invite the right folks to the conversation by creating a Webex space right from Jira or Zendesk to collaborate on resolutions. This expands the existing Webex Meetings integrations within Zendesk and Jira.
Webex Edge Connect
Webex Edge Connect has been expanded to include Webex Calling traffic, enabling optimal performance with less congestion, packet loss, jitter and delay.
Headsets Analytics
With this release you now have a comprehensive view of your organization’s adoption and usage of Cisco headsets with metrics on connection type, call duration, headset model, and geographic region.
Simplified SSO Certification Option
Webex is giving you more flexibility to meet your SSO security and compliance requirements, with a new option for a self-signed by Cisco certificate that is valid for 5 years.
Troubleshooting Meeting Insights
We are expanding on the comprehensive troubleshooting capabilities for meetings in Control Hub. Quickly understand quality issues and trends with the new summary insights that provide an overview of live meeting details across your organization. You can view metrics on the number of participants and meetings experiencing poor audio, video and content sharing experiences.
