Last June, Cisco introduced new capabilities on Webex Expert on Demand to support frontline workers. Seamless integration between Webex and Realwear, an assisted reality (AR) industrial headset provider, allows workers to instantly connect with remote experts or their teams. This hands-free, voice-activated experience enables frontline workers to perform their jobs safely and effectively with remote expert guidance. Cisco’s Webex Expert on Demand helps organizations digitize operations, guides workers through complex tasks, and supports remote troubleshooting. Recognizing that frontline workers are critical across numerous industries to maintain ongoing operations and carry out a variety of routines to ensure continuity of business, we identified and can now support those that operate within US federal space with different data security requirements compared to their counterparts in the private sector.
Our platform uses assisted reality (AR) to increase the availability of geographically dispersed experts and service teams at locations where we need them most while reducing physical travel. Frontline workers can use head tracking movements and voice commands, without having to use their hands, to join multi-party audio and video calls to get real time guidance and share content and documents with real time annotation leading to faster resolutions, improved experiences and increased safety.
