Today, we are thrilled to share that our AI Assistant integration with Amazon Q index is available in the Webex app, bringing the power of “Connected Intelligence” to your fingertips.

Now, with this integration, you can access and interact with a wide range of enterprise applications like Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow, and SharePoint—all from within Webex. The Webex AI Assistant acts as an intelligent orchestrator, seamlessly pulling data, conversations, summaries, and action items from your other enterprise workflows. This gives you meaningful insights and context right at your fingertips, making your meetings and conversations more productive.
How does it work?
Once you are in your Meetings workflow, you can ask AI Assistant a question in the Webex “Ask Me Anything” panel, and the Assistant will pull answers not just from your Webex conversations, but from any third-party data source indexed by Amazon Q—including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira, and Microsoft. You will be provided with a Summary Response including Sources where you can easily click on to review or receive more information. Eventually, you will be able to access this Global AI Assistant in your favorite workflow in the Webex App, whether in a Meeting, Messaging or your Post Meeting experience.
This powerful integration leads to enhanced discussions, faster decision-making, and the elimination of disruptive context-switching for employees, while providing the highest level of security, compliance, and privacy that Cisco and Amazon are known for. You maintain full control over which data sources are permitted, and your data always remains within your enterprise environment.
Core Features:
- Trust: Users will always be able to verify the answers that are being provided by the AI Assistant by clicking on the sources that are linked below the summary response.
- Autonomy: Users will always be able to choose if they want Amazon Q index sources to be part of the summary response, allowing them to have a say in their AI Assistant experience.
- Control: Administrators will be able to choose exactly which 3rd party tools they want configured for this functionality, along with user and group level controls.
