Webex partners with NWN Carousel at the Laver Cup

Webex by Cisco is incredibly excited to partner with NWN Carousel to support the Laver Cup in Boston this past weekend. We were thrilled to power the transformation from an international press box live experience to a seamless remote media event that connected the international media with some of the world’s top players. Over 70 media outlets from around the world remotely covered the Laver Cup including 70 of some of the top sports journalists. With many media now unable to cover events live due to travel restrictions, providing remote access has become a crucial component of connecting and engaging media, broadcasters, and fans, regardless of their location. Using the Webex platform for Unified Communications, NWN Carousel and Webex provided the technology to live stream the Laver Cup event and allowed international and local media the opportunity to see, hear and speak with the players, just as if they were in the same room.

Webex enables inclusivity and stronger collaboration for hybrid events

The Laver Cup has captivated fans around the world since it premiered in Prague in 2017. The unique format pits six of the best players from Europe against six of their counterparts from the rest of the world. At this weekend’s tournament, tennis legends Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe captained Team Europe and Team World. Team Europe defeated Team World 14-1. With Webex, the media was able to connect virtually with the players bridging in-person interactions with digital connections to deliver a truly blended experience.
